My blogging history began way back in 2004 and has evolved many times. The very first platform I looked at was a modular program called Modblog that has since shut down. Then Blogger. WonderWife & I (mostly WW) created a self hosted website called Digital Denbows. This was based on Joomla, a content management system. Then came WordPress, our current platform. The websites created on WordPress have gone through their own evolution. First it was “Go Mojo” a website dedicated to outdoor adventure and travel. Branching off of the various personal interests I also created Audio Mojo, MojoDenbow, Photo Mojo, Techno Mojo and Video Mojo.
Over the years, I was just exploring what all this meant to me and figuring out how it all worked. I wish that the early platforms had a way to export the data to migrate to another platform. I wish I took screenshots for posterity. Since hosting our websites on our own servers and created domain names for our rantings, I have learned a lot and still have heaps more to discover and apply.
Back in October 2009 I decided that I’ve lost my Mojo and it was time for a new direction. I’ve changed the name to reflect a personal website and consolidated the other ones for easier readability. The photography business does have it’s own dedicated website as does the technical support site too.
When I first started this I did it for myself. Suddenly I as receiving comments from others who shared the sentiments and enjoyed the articles. The focus changed from a “me-centered” blog to a website dedicated to anything of interest to myself and others. I used to have almost 10,000 followers worldwide but since I’ve cut back my posts these past two years the following is down to about 80 of you. Now that micro-blogging platforms such as Twitter & Facebook are common, the website has taken a back seat. It’s easier to share my thoughts in 140 characters or get instant feedback in Facebook. I’d like to get back to my roots and today’s milestone post will help. I’ve written 1000 posts in the 3 years I’ve used WordPress. The state of the website is this: anything/nothing/something/everything. Those are my thoughts in no order and subject to change based on my whims.

Now Open

ChrisDenbow.com is now open for business. Pardon the dust as I am still trying to clean things up around here, move the furniture around and re-organize. The website will still get a makeover but this will do for now (better than a boring template). The transfer from MojoDenbow.info was not as painful as I expected thanks to the insights of some great friends and WordPress ninjas: Donald Harper Stephen Alexander Linda MacPhee-Cobb and Brandon Oelling at X-Equals . Of course a special thanks to WonderWife who is way smarter than I am. Thanks, amigos!
